Lake Erie is the eleventh largest lake in the world (by surface area), and the fourth largest of the Great Lakes in surface area and the smallest by volume. Ninety-five percent of Lake Erie's total inflow of water comes via the Detroit River water from all the "upper lakes" — Superior, Michigan and Huron — the St. Clair River, Lake St. Clair and numerous tributaries. The rest comes from precipitation. Lake Erie is the shallowest of the Great Lakes and is especially vulnerable to fluctuating water levels.

For over 28 years, Leamington Municipal Marina has been considered one of the premier Municipal Marinas on Lake Erie. All 292 slips are fully serviced with 6-10 feet of water; protected from Lake Erie by two outer breakwalls. Weekends feature live entertainment. Recently remodelled services include; a boater's lounge, private showers, privacy gates and enclosed pavilion for private parties. Gas/Disel and a pumpout station is available and WIFI complimentary to the docks.

Covering 2,200+ locations across Ontario — including the Canadian waters of the Great Lakes — this guide includes: sizes and amounts of fish you can safely eat; how to choose fish with the lowest levels of contaminants; fish you should not eat (including special advice for children and pregnant women); how to prepare fish to reduce contaminants; different contaminants found in Ontario fish. Anglers can use the guide to identify species and angling destinations with lower contaminant levels.

Pelee Club: fishing, hunting, boating
The Pelee Club is a members only fishing, hunting and boating club in a secluded, historic, comfortable, and rustic setting. The club is found on a secluded island (Pelee island) in the Canadian waters of Lake Erie. The island’s quaint character, the historic charm of the clubhouse, and the waters teaming with walleye and bass cast an almost unbreakable spell on all who venture within.

Southwest Outdoors Club
The Southwest Outdoors Club (SWOC) is a non-profit organization of like-minded individuals who share an interest in the environment, conservation, and our outdoor heritage, which includes hunting and fishing. SWOC’s activities are based on principles of environmental protection and up-to date knowledge of local eco-systems, and include Wild Turkey reintroduction, fish stocking and tagging, sponsoring wildlife research, species-at-risk stewardship, youth outdoor and safety education, tree planting, building trails and habitat creation. Their numerous annual events include the Big Buck and Bull Day, Big Fishing Tournament, Kids Fishing Derby, Traveling Kids Trout Pond and Big Rack Night Christmas Party.
